How to Make a Claim

Unimutual only handles claims from its members and therefore has specific expertise in the nature and diversity of claims made by universities and other research and educational facilities.

The Unimutual Claims Team will:

  • Respond promptly to all enquiries and notifications
  • Provide early advice as to the exercise of discretion to grant protection
  • Settle protected Property claims as soon as all necessary information is supplied
  • Provide expert assessment and defence or settlement of liability claims
  • Keep members informed of the progress of claims by phone, in writing or by personal visits, if required

Notification of a claim, occurrence, fact or circumstance

It is important that members notify Unimutual promptly of any claim, occurrence, fact or circumstance involving the member, an affiliate or a protected person.

Notifications may now be made in one of three ways:

  • Download a PDF version of our Claim Form, complete it and send to us
  • Complete a Claim Form on line, print it and send to us
  • Complete a Claim Form on line and submit it on line
